The Nagaland Board of School Education informed that the “1st Edu Connect Conclave 2022” under the aegis of “Investment for the Future” will be help at Capital Convention Centre, Kohima. This information was notified to the Heads of Secondary and Higher Secondary Institutions, that the Investment & Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN) and the North East Educational Council (NEEC) are jointly organizing Nagaland’s 1st Edu Connect Conclave 2022 in collaboration with their Department, Department of Higher Education and Department of Technical Education. The sessions will begin at 12:00 p.m. on 10th May 2022 and on 11th May 2022, from 10:00 a.m. onwards.

Intended Purpose of the conclave

This Education Expo intends to connect students seeking admissions, especially in education that is vocational and employment-oriented, with premier colleges/institutes of the country. It is intended to enable students to obtain first-hand information about admission to such colleges/institutes and the courses offered, fee structure, free education, scholarships, education loans, options for fellowships abroad, etc. This will not only help overcome the difficulties faced by the students in getting admissions to premier educational institutions of the country but it is hoped that this will attract potential institutions to establish in Nagaland.

The Expo will also help schools and colleges fine-tune their career counseling, find out post-graduate opportunities outside Nagaland, and guidance on education loans and fellowships, and scholarships.

The event will be broadcasted in all the districts for the students and parents to watch the event live through MyGov Nagaland YouTube channel. In this regard, the Heads of Institutions have been requested to coordinate with their respective District Education Officers (DEOs) and arrange for their students to attend the live broadcast of the event.

For Kohima town, the Heads of Selected Schools (enclosed as Annexure) are requested to make necessary arrangements for their students of Classes X and XII to attend the Edu Connect 2022 at the Capital Convention Centre, positively.
