Kohima, 7th Dec: The Governor of Nagaland, R N Ravi had a review meeting in Raj Bhavan with senior officials of National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) on the ongoing road projects along with Chief Secretary J Alam, DGP T John Longkumer and senior officials of the State Government.

The Governor has expressed serious displeasure on NHIDCL in the meeting for not keeping their assurances on the progress of the Kohima-Dimapur four-lane construction. He lamented that although the project was scheduled for completion in August 2019, but even after 15 months of overshooting the deadline the completion of the project is not in sight.

Further, he reminded the NHIDCL about sufferings of the people of Nagaland due to their lack of interest. In this regard, the Governor would be taking up the matter with the Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gandkari.
