Forest Minister N. Awangbow chaired DLO meeting in Tamenglong

TAMENGLONG, Dec. 14: Forest & Environment, Sericulture and Climate change Minister Awangbow Newmai on Monday chaired the district level officers meeting of Noney and Tamenglong district in Tamenglong at the conference hall of DC Tamenglong.

Deputy Commissioner Tamenglong Armstrong Pame welcomed all the present members and highlighted nine biggest projects taking up in Tamenglong district.

The nine biggest projects were water supply scheme, Makru and Barak bridges, Tamenglong – Khongsang road, Imphal-Kangchup-Tamenglong road, Implementation of Hill Area Development Projects, play ground, power grid, FCI godown 500 mt and Tamenglong-Toudem-Half road.

DC Tamenglong also asked all departments whether they have for inauguration or laying of foundation stone during Chief Minister of Manipur visit in Tamenglong.

Minister took note of the shortcoming faced by district level officers including Noney and Tamenglong district and assures to discuss with the chief minister of Manipur N Biren Singh.

Forest Minister Awangbow Newmai during his august visit on Tamenglong inspected abandoned mini secretariat complex constructed and inaugurated during congress regime.

He also inspected the construction of play ground and water supply project at Carpentry Tamenglong.
