State level mock exercise on earthquake held in Tamenglong

TAMENGLONG, Dec. 14: State Disaster Response Team on Monday conducted state level mock exercise on earthquake near Apollo Ground Tamenglong ward No 1.

Deputy Commissioner Tamenglong Armstrong Pame, Sub-par Divisional officer Tamenglong Mahesh Chaudhari, Chief Medical Officer Tamenglong Dr Chambo Gonmei, DRDA project officer Acham Kamei were also attended the program.

Department of relief and disaster Management government of Manipur led by Sub Team Commander Okram Achaoba Singh.

Speaking to ISTV Okram Achaoba Singh informed that the mock exercise on earthquake will cover all district of Manipur as Manipur is among earthquake prone zone.

He said that Tamenglong is 11 district that had covered by the team after Chandel District.

He told ISTV that during such disaster occurrence of earthquake, the fire service, medical team and rescue team should work together to safe injured persons and other pending person under the collapsed building.
