Widening of mini Secretariat Rd begun in Tamenglong
Tamenglong, Dec. 19: The widening of 3km stretch of Mini Secretariat road from Autonomous District Council Tamenglong office has begun.
The district administration Tamenglong has planed to shift all government offices to mini secretariat complex Tamenglong by next month.
Chief Minister of Manipur N Biren Singh is likely to hold meeting in the mini secretariat complex and make functional during his visits to Tamenglong next month.
It may be mentioned here that the Union Minister P. Chidambaram in 2011 during congress regime had constructed and inaugurated mini Secretariat complex Tamenglong before completion.
The incomplete tall and big buildings were left abandoned nearly 10 years. Many civil organisations has appealed to the deputy commissioner Tamenglong to shift all government offices to the secretariat complex however it went into the deaf ears in the last ten years.
However local man Deputy Commissioner Tamenglong Armstrong Pame has repaired the Mini-Secretariat Tamenglong and planned to shift and make functional by next month.
In the meantime the deputy commissioner Tamenglong Armstrong Pame has called upon all land owners/ property owners/ standing property owners to put forth their claims and objection at the meeting at 2 pm of December 21 at the conference hall of DC Tamenglong.
If no claims and objection are received on December 21 the required road widening which is 40/45 ft, shall be taken as they have “No Objection’ to the proposed road expansion of the Government, he added.
