Newly constructed Makru Bridge on Imphal-Jiribam will inaugurate on July 12
Imphal, 9th July 2021: Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways Nitin Gadkari will inaugurate the newly constructed Makru Bridge on Imphal-Jiribam road on Monday (July 12).
The date for the bridge inauguration was earlier fixed on July 2 and again on July 8.
It is reported that the Union Minister will also lay the foundation stone for several projects taken up by National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) in the State.
According to reliable sources, Nitin Gadkari will land at BT airport at around 11 am on Monday. From there, the Union Minister will head to the City Convention Centre by road and lay the foundation stone for projects to be taken up by NHIDCL.
After attending a review meeting of the schemes and projects at the City Convention Centre, Nitin Gadkari will fly to Makru Bridge from a helipad at Kangla at 1.35 pm. The Union Minister will then inaugurate the much awaited bridge in between 2.05 and 2.20 pm. According to the source, the Union Minister will also inaugurate several other projects that have been completed, including the double lane road construction from Mao to Koubru Leikha executed by PWD, from the City Convention Centre.
