COVID vaccination 2nd phase drive at Dimapur
Dimapur, 8th Feb: The 2nd phase of COVID vaccination drive will be conducted on 9th February 2021 at Dimapur from 10:00 am onwards, where 12000 beneficiaries (frontline workers) have registered for availing the vaccination.
CMO Dimapur office informed that session sites with technical requirements would be set up in two locations, one at Commissioner Police office Dimapur for the police personnel and the other one at Urban Primary Health Center Duncan Basti for the district administration.
COVID-19 vaccination for frontline workers begins in Wokha & Mon district
Vaccination of COVID-19 for the frontline Workers for Wokha and Mon district began today. In Wokha, vaccination was carried out at SP office, Deputy Commissioners Office and Home Guards and Civil Defense office. Deputy Commissioner & Chairman District Task Force for COVID-19, Wokha, Orenthung Lotha was the first person to be administered with the COVID vaccine on the first day, including 113 frontline workers.
After being inoculated, DC Wokha said the vaccine is safe and has no side effect and therefore appealed to all frontline workers to come forward and avail the vaccine. Tomorrow, the vaccination will be carried out at Bhandari CHC, 7th NAP hospital and NEEPCO health care centre at Doyang. In Mon district, Deputy Commissioner Mon Thavaseelan K was the first administrator in the district to be administered with the COVISHIELD vaccine today. Till date, a total of 617 public healthcare workers from across the Mon District have been administered with the Covishield Vaccine.
Meanwhile, the second phase of Covid vaccination drive will begin in Dimapur tomorrow from 10:00 AM onwards. 12,000 of frontline workers have registered for the vaccination.
