Only way to progress in life is through studies & hard work, IGAR tells children home in Tamenglong
TAMENGLONG, Feb. 09: Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) SM Vishisht Sewa Medal Major General Ranjit Singh told the children of the children home of Tamenglong that the only way to progress in life is through studies and hard work. There is no short – cut to success, you must study hard and work hard and improve your life.
He was speaking during the reached out to children of Child Care Homes being run by Indigenous Women and Children Foundation (IWCF) Tamenglong organised by 44 Assam Rifles under the aegis of Sector 22 Sect/IGAR (East) at Tamenglong camp complex where a total of 86 Inmates, including 41 girls, 37 boys and eight kids below six years of age residing in three institutions at Tamenglong town.
He said “you have come from difficult background, some of you do not have parent and some of you are from poor back ground. However, you must be grateful to God for having chance to study in good educational institution. The only message to you is work hard and change your life, that is only way that happened in life”.
While motivating the children to stick to their talent, he said one came become like national boxer Marry Kom, singer, sports or any talent above all one must aim high and work hard and the Assam Rilfes unit is here in Tamenglong to help you in achieving your dream, he added.
To the query of reporters, Major General Ranjit Singh said that security force need to tighten in Manipur to minimize illegal extortion. One must choose the right path doing right thing and getting into main stream joining peace talk and development works, he said.
Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) SM Vishisht Sewa Medal Major General Ranjit Singh also gifted two swings to Child Care Home which made children extremely happy.
Reach out to children not only brought pious smile on their innocent faces but, brought bundle of joy and long-lasting bond of friendship with Assam Rifles. Later IGAR(E) joined the children to cut the cake and cherished the moment.
A colourful traditional dance and song has entertained the guest by chlidren participated in the program.
