Nagaland to impose load shedding throughout the state
Kohima, 22 Nov: According to Department of Power, Nagaland, the entire state in Nagaland is compelled to impose load shedding on rotation basis. In a press release, Chief Engineer, Transmission and Generation, Power Department, Nribemo Mozhui said the load shedding is being initiated due to low generation from the Hydro Power Generating stations and the resultant shortfalls.
He therefore appealed all the consumers to judiciously use electricity by switching off avoidable appliances that would go a long way to reduce the duration and quantum of the load shedding. Mozhui also said that the department is making all efforts to provide stable power supply during the festive season of Christmas and New Year celebrations.
