Tamenglong and Noney district has 19 positive cases each
TAMENGLONG | Jun 13: With a new positive case found at Jiribam quarantine centre from Longchai village of Tamenglong district on Friday, the total number of COVID-19 positive cases has increased to 19.
In all 19, two persons had been cured and released from the COVID Care Facility at RIMS Imphal.
Numbers of unauthorized gates were constructed in town area and police team remove the unauthorized gate near UBS Tamenglong.
The district task force has collected as many as 197 samples from the quarantine inmates.
The number of quarantine inmates has also been increased to 887 on Friday.
At least, 42 persons were also placed under home quarantine today. Test results received from state is 129 till the time of filling of thisreport.
In the meantime, Chaengdai Students’ Union has donated 200 pieces of masks along with local made dustbins for proper disposal of wastes to the Tamenglong community quarantine centres.
The donated materials were handed over to deputy commissioner Tamenglong Armstrong Pame on Friday afternoon.
In Noney district, seven persons had been tested positive of COVID-19 today.
The number of COVID -19 positive cases in the district has also risen to 19, out of which one person has been already cured and discharged from the COVID Care Facility at RIMS Imphal.
Five inmates were tested positive from Khangshillung Higher Secondary School,Khoupum while one inmate who was accommodated at Kids Glory School, Khoupum was also tested positive.
They were shifted to the COVID care facility centre at UNACCO school, Imphal by an Ambulance. Another female inmate from Tengkonjang ST Girls Hostel Institutional Quarantine Centre has also been tested COVID -19 positive today.
