DTCC conducted enforcement drive at Jalukie

The 2nd quarterly enforcement drive of District Tobacco Control Cell (DTCC) conducted enforcement drive on the sale of prohibited tobacco products in areas within a radius of 100 meters of educational institutions under COTPA Act Sec. 6(a) & (b) and sale of tobacco to minors at Jalukie Town.

The drive was conducted on 20th September 2022 under the acknowledgment of EAC Jalukie, Imtinungla Longkumer, and the police personnel from Jalukie police station. The enforcement squad seized tobacco products from five shops which were then disposed of at the police station.

The team was impressed with some schools which maintained the warnings seriously and discontinued the sale of tobacco within the given distance.
