Procedure for returnees and travelers entering Nagaland

Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority, Home Department, has issued revised Standard Operating Procedure, SOP for returnees and travelers entering the state. The SOP issued yesterday said returnees or travelers will be permitted to enter the state through Dimapur by train, air or road through New Field Check Gate and Dillai Gate. It said entry only by road will be allowed through Khuzama in Kohima district, Tsutapela and Watiyongpang in Mokokchung district, Naginimora and Tizit in Mon district and Bhandari in Wokha district by road.

Entry into the state through any other route or by any other mode of travel is not allowed except under special circumstances with the approval of the home department. Every inbound traveler should install and get registered in nCovid Nagaland Visitor App and Aarogya Setu before entering the Nagaland. The provision of e-Pass is discontinued and not required for entering the state. Every inbound traveller will be required to submit Self Declaration Form or Undertaking for Home Quarantine. Every returnee will be screened.

Returnees showing no symptoms will proceed to respective districts for quarantine while those showing symptoms will be subject to medical protocols. Conveyance from point of entry to the respective district or place of quarantine will be arranged by the returnees. Every asymptomatic returnee will undergo 14 days quarantine. Returnees may either opt for home quarantine or institutional quarantine in a facility managed by District Task Force or paid quarantine in designated hotel or lodge.

Persons above the age of 60, children below 10 years and accompanying parents, pregnant women and accompanying spouse and person with disabilities, unless symptomatic will be allowed to undergo home quarantine for 14 days. At institutional quarantine facility, quarantinees will be charged for food. Test will be conducted immediately for symptomatic returnees on arrival and for qurantinees who develops symptoms during the course of quarantine.
