Thanksgiving and sanctification of Sangrungpang village held

TAMENGLONG, Dec. 04: A thanksgiving and sanctification program was held today at Sangrungpang Village of Tamenglong district.

The program was necessitated as the villagers were reconciled after infighting within the village for the last 15 years. The internal feud had led to bloodshed and displacement of 17 households.

It was the Town Centre Church Tamenglong HQs that initiated the reconciliation process. After several rounds of consultations the Goodwill Mission team of TCC Tamenglong had been able to convince both the parties to shed their differences and reconciled with one another under the modality of love and forgiveness as taught by Christ.

As both the parties have now reconciled themselves, all cases pending in the law court, Village Pei or any other authorities have been annulled and stand invalid and no more applicable. Hence, all the villagers will be brought under single Village Authority, the Church and the Pei administrations.

The act of reconciliation, thanksgiving and sanctification was solemnized by Town Centre Church Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. N. Palmei in the presence of Zeme Naga Council President Rev. Dr. Aku Newme and representative of Inpui, Liangmai, Rongmei and Zeme Naga Councils, Rongmei Naga Youth Organisation Tamenglong Luangrian president Athuanna Kamei, Rongmei Naga Baptist Association president Rev. G. Chingliang, Chairmen and Khunbus of neighbouring villages including Kaikao, Sempang, Tabanglong and Chaengdai villages.
