Naga People’s Front appoints 19 leaders in Tamenglong
Just barely after resigning and expulsion of seventeen officials of Naga People’s Front Tamenglong division from the party in the last couple of days, a ray of hope shined again for Naga People’s Front (NPF) in Tamenglong as atleast new nineteen leaders were appointed on Friday.
New office dedication and oath taking of new office bearer of Naga People’s Front Tamenglong division was held here at Tamenglong district headquarters today.
ADC Tamenglong Chairman Namsinrei Panmei and ADC Tamenglong Finance Secretary Micah Panmei, Working President Robert T. Maram, Former MLA and Vice President (NPF) Manipur state Unit Khangthuanang Panmei, NPF Manipur State Unit General Secretary Armstrong Charanga, NPF Manipur State Unit General Secretary Worthing Horam leaders from Tamenglong attended programme.
With the coming of new officials in the NPF Tamenglong Division and 53- Tamenglong area unit, the office of Naga People’s Front Tamenglong division is now shifted at Eden Hills, Tamenglong Ward No. II.
The newly elected office bearers for Tamenglong Division includes Joseph Newme as President, Jacob Gonmei as Working President, Tunding Gonmei- Vice President, Venzaline Khumba- Vice President, TP Pantithan- General secretary, Amos Panmei as Secretary, Nthuikhuanang Panmei as press secretary, three advisors Hutanang Pamei, TP Anepou and Namrong Gonmei.
Naga People’s Front Tamenglong division has also appointed another nine officials for 53- Tamenglong Area unit including Achuna Pamei, Lanjaichung Gonmei, Joy Panmei as vice presidents, two secretaries Akhiamngam Gangmei and Meidiping Pamei and others press secretary, treasurer and two advisors.
Naga People’s Front Manipur State Unit Working President Robert T. Maram administered oath taking to the newly appointed officials while Town Baptist Church Pastor Rev. Dr Namsadai Kahmei invoked God’s blessing for the new officials and new office building.
Speaking on the occasion, ADC Tamenglong Chairman Namsinrei Panmei urged all to have big heart and take firm decision with clean heart to work for the people.
He also urged all NPF leaders to work hard and strengthen the party. He also donated a sum of rupees fifty thousand for office maintenance and assures to give five bundles of GI roof tins for the house owner of the Naga People’s Front office.
Before administering of oath taking by the new officials, Working President Robert T. Maram also spokes on the occasion.
He said that many people think that Naga People’s Front is NSCN: IM wing, however, he clarify that Naga People’s Front (NPF) is political regional party to work and assist in any possible manner on any approach for a peaceful solution of the Indo-Naga political issue, to stand against any force to further divide the Nagas and thereby move towards a renaissance of Naga brotherhood by making constant appeal to Naga conscience.
He also narrated how the Naga People’s Front was formed in Nagaland and how it reached in Manipur 2012. Many opposed when it came to Manipur but now people have started trusting the party that NPF is not communal party and now many people belief that without NPF in Manipur there would not be peace in Manipur, he added.
He also said that other political party may give scheme but Naga People’s Front Party is political party to safe guard your future, land and it will protect your identity and there is no other political party to protect the down trodden people.
