38923 children to covers under IDCF & NDD in Tamenglong
The district health Society Tamenglong on Saturday launched Intensify Diarrhoea Control Fortnight and National Deworming week in Tamenglong.
As many as 38923 children from zero to five years old would be cover launched Intensify Diarrhoea Control Fortnight (IDCF) and National Deworming Day (NDD) week in Tamenglong.
The launching programme held at chief medical office complex Tamenglong with Deputy Commissioner Tamenglong Armstrong Pame as chief guest.
AC to DC Rohit Anand, Chief Medical Officer Tamenglong Dr Chambo Gonmei, District Immunization Officer Tamenglong Dr Sunil Kamei, District AIDs Control Officer Tamenglong Majachungliu Gracy and other doctors attended the launching programme.
In his chief guest speech, Armstrong Pamei request all health workers, ASHAs and Anganwadi workers to reach out to all the villages of Tamenglong district. He urged them to utilize all the resources to make sure all children remain healthy.
In his speech chief medical officer Tamenglong Dr Chambo Gonmei said that as schools and institution were totally closed due to pandemic COVID- 19, ASHAs, Anganwadi workers and health workers will be deliver albendazole tablet and zince and ORS from door to doors. While they are delivering the medicines, they are requested to take household census.
He urged all ASHAs and Anganwadi workers to work sincerely and lovingly while implement the two programme including Intensify Diarrhoea Control Fortnight and National Deworming week in Tamenglong.
District Immunization Officer Tamenglong Dr Sunil Kamei said that atleast 38923 children from zero to five years old will be given albendazole tablet each. He said that Zinc table is to be given only when a child got diarrhoea.
