Imphal-Tamenglong road mudslide between T Waichong and Selsi village

After few days of continuous rainfall in Twilang area along Imphal-Tamenglong road, a mudslide which took place at around 10 am yesterday at the road stretch between T Waichong Sub Divisional Headquarters and Selsi village.

The mudslide has interrupted movement of vehicles and destroyed paddy fields in the area.

Villagers of T Waichong and its surrounding areas reportedly attempted to clear the debris, but without any visible result.

Considering the alarming situation, the IT Road Joint Monitoring Development Committee appealed to the State Government and concerned authorities to look into the matter and take necessary action immediately.
