Citizens of manipur brought home by special flight

As many as 185 stranded citizens of Manipur, mostly families with children and elders who couldn’t travel by train, were brought home by a special AirAsia chartered flight at free of cost on Tuesday.

The special flight was arranged by National Law School (NLS) based in Delhi and is the first such flight. The flight took off from the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai at 8:10 am and landed successfully at Imphal International Airport at around 11:40 am.

The third special Indian Railways Shramik Train with around 1,500 passengers which is being arranged for the stranded Manipur natives is scheduled to leave from CST train station in Mumbai to Jiribam on Tuesday at 9 pm.  this would likely be the last train from Mumbai being arranged by the government.
