The new construction of Tamenglong court is seen far behind completion when the reporters visited the building construction site on Monday.
It is worth mentioned here that the construction of district court building Tamenglong was started since 1 May 2016 and the stipulated date for completion of the project was April 1, 2018.

However, very few workers are found working in the big building and construction site turned into haunted as tall bushes over ground in one side, with rusted iron bars, water droplets dropping from between two pillars, etc.
Tamenglong has maximum court cases, all big or small case have to go down to Imphal to attend the court case, due to lack of court in Tamenglong district headquarter.
Little money earned from MGNREGS job card wages is spending to go down to Imphal to attend even small court case.
The district court building complex construction has seven components including construction of main court building with three court rooms now stated to be completed 60 per cent.
Fire fighting system with wet riser, internal roads and path, water supply and sanitary installation are all yet to start the work. Internal electrification and wiring, retaining wall construction are yet to complete.
When contacted the district administration Tamenglong, the deputy commissioner Tamenglong informed that to cease the hardship faced by general public attending court case at Imphal, the district administration has given disaster office building for temporary court building.
The district administration has willing to give quarters for judges, staffs, other requirement, etc. however no chief judicial magistrate is posted again in Tamenglong district after transferred of former Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) -cum-Civil Judge Sr. Division Tamenglong Janggoulen Haokip Tamenglong
Moreover, those in-charge chief judicial magistrate and his staffs are reluctant to come and stay in Tamenglong.
