Locally transmitted cases in Manipur

NNN | IMPHAL, July 26: Three more locally transmitted cases of COVID-19 were reported in Manipur on Saturday, taking the tally to 2176.

The three locally transmitted cases are among the 30 new cases of COVID-19 detected in the state in the last 24 hours, a report of the COVID-19 Common Control Room said.

Of the total 2176 cases of COVID-19, 656 are active cases as 1520 including 29 patients were discharged after they recovered from the disease. The recovery rate is 69.85 percent.
Twenty-five of the fresh cases are males.

The 30 new cases of COVID-19 were detected during the testing of 1060 samples in the last 24 hours. The state has tested 76,992 samples for the virus so far, a report of the state Health department said.

Chief Minister Biren Singh has also hold a meeting of the State Consultative Committee for COVID19 to discuss the situation of local transmission in the state.
