Chief Information Commissioner of Nagaland sworn in ceremony

I. Meyionen Jamir, IGP and Director (Rtd) of Nagaland Lokayukta Police was sworn in as the Chief Information Commissioner (CIC) of Nagaland by Governor of Nagaland Prof. Jagdish Mukhi in Kohima.

He was administered the oath of office at Dr. Imkongliba Ao hall in Raj Bhavan Kohima by Governor today. Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton, Cabinet Ministers, and state officials attended the oath taking ceremony.

According to source, Meyionen Jamir will hold office of the CIC for a term of 3 years or till he attains the age of 65 years whichever, is earlier.
