22 fresh covid-19 positive cases detects in Tamenglong

TAMENGLONG, Sept. 29: Believe it or not at least 22 fresh covid-19 positive cases have detected again on Tuesday in Tamenglong district. With detection of 22 fresh COVID-19 the total positive cases have surged to 444 in Tamenglong district.

At least another 22 positive cases has been recovered today and altogether 358 positive recovered recorded till today. 86 COVID-19 positive cases are still in active case.

Those 22 fresh COVID-19 positive cases detected today are from security personnel, district hospital Tamenglong, Tamenglong ward No II Green Hill, etc.

Normal lives have been paralyse at Tamenglong district headquarter on Tuesday as district magistrate has declared containment zone in view of the 30 fresh covid-19 positive cases detection on Monday from locality at Tamenglong district headquarters.

All shops and markets including pharmacy and essential commodities shops were totally closed down today as part of containment measures.

The busy bazaar from Jadonang Bazaar till the UBS Junction looks deserted looked today.

Following the declaration of containment zone at Medical Gate Tamenglong, the bazaar looks deserted today.

In his order, the district magistrate Tamenglong Armstrong Pame said that in view of 30 fresh covid-19 positive detection from persons residing in various parts of Tamenglong District headquarters and in view of the impending threat of covid-19 pandemic in the area, it has become expedient to issue containment measure to prevent the spread of the diseases in the area, the geographical area is sealed and declared containment zone with immediate effect.

The geographical areas of containment zones includes the entire area falling under Chingkhiulong Colony, Ward No.V, Markets & Shop establishment in and around the Jadonang Bazaar till the Town Baptist Church Junction marked by the traffic point, District Council Colony and Model Village Area.

He informed that entry and Exit of population from the containment area, Closure of Schools, offices and banning public gathering in any type, Banning vehicular movement in the area and initiating active surveillance of COVID-19 cases.

“Any person(s)/ institution(s)/ Organisation(s) found violating any of the containment measures shall be deemed to have committed an offence punishable under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 in the schedule of the containment zone. This shall come into immediate effect and until further orders”, Pame said.

However, all the officials’ assigned duty by the undersigned shall be permitted for movement to carry out related official works following all standard operating procures as circulated by the department of health and this office from time to time, he added.
