Manipur COVID-19 update : 9 December 2020

Manipur claimed seven more lives today taking the death toll to 318. Meanwhile, the active case reduce to 2,915 with 138 fresh case were registered in the last 24 hours and 135 patients were discharged. The cumulative confirmed case in the state reached 26,534 on Wednesday.

According state COVID-19 Common Control Room press release, 122 persons are from the general population while 16 are Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) personnel which detected today. The general population included 51 from Imphal West, 24 from Imphal East, 17 from Bishnupur, seven from Chandel, six from Thoubal, four each from Ukhrul and Tamenglong, two each from Kakching, Kangpokpi and Senapati, and one each from Tengnoupal, Noney and Churachandpur. All are locals without any significant travel history.
