Two Girl Cadets from Nagaland selected for prestigious Republic Day Contingent Camp

Kohima, 21 Dec (ANK): Two Cadets of Army Senior Wing, 1 Nagaland Girls Battalion National Cadet Corps, NCC Kohima have been selected to the prestigious Republic Day Contingent Camp as part of the NCC Directorate North East Region.

They are Senior under Officer Rokovino of Kohima College and Sergeant Zuchobeni of St Joseph’ College (Autonomous). Informing this in a press release PRO Defence Kohima Lt. Colonel Sumit K Sharma, said after undergoing a relentless three phased training camps, the two cadets cleared the test and were trained under the aegis of NCC Group Headquarter Kohima by Colonel Avinash D Pitre, CO 1 Nagaland Girls Battalion NCC and Havildar Sempithung Lotha. Sharmas further informed that the selected Cadets have proceeded to New Delhi on 18 of this month to attend the Republic Day Camp and will be returning on February next year.
