NBSE notifies schools not to conduct selection test at Class X and XII level

Nagaland Board of School Education has notified the following for information of all the Heads of Institutions registered under NBSE for strict compliance.

Inspite of the fact that Selection Test was done away in 2014 as notified on 10.3.2014 and stated in the rules under Management of Examination 2014, many institutions are still conducting Selection Test to screen out or drop the poor learners from appearing the
HSLC/HSSLC Examinations.

Therefore, NBSE has once again reminded all Heads of Institutions not to conduct Selection Test at Class X or XII level to screen out the poor learners. Schools should assure that the course/syllabus of the academic year is covered and the learning gaps among the students
identified and the varied needs of the students are addressed. All possible efforts should be taken to give remedial measures, special classes etc. for the weak students to improve their performance.

Further, all schools must conduct Model Test at the end of completion of the course based on the design of the Board’s question paper to orient the students to sit for the Board’s examinations.
