Nagaland to review for upcoming election

In connection with the forthcoming General Election to Nagaland Legislative Assembly, 2023, the state Chief Electoral Officer, CEO, today held a meeting with enforcement departments and agencies for assessing poll preparedness and ground situation.

The meeting discussed that for conducting the Elections freely and fairly, there is a need to thoroughly check unfair, unhealthy and illegal means by all concerned departments.

The CEO informed that the Election Commission of India will also be reviewing the preparedness very soon with various departments and agencies.

Meanwhile, the CEO also conducted a video conference yesterday with all the Deputy Commissioners, District Election Officers, Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, and Superintendents of Police regarding poll preparedness.
