Nagaland COVID-19 update : 22 October 2020

Nagaland detected 157 +ve cases today with 199 from Dimapur, 30 from Kohima, 3 from Peren, 2 each from Mokokchung & Kiphire and 1 from Mon. Meanwhile 39 +ve patients have recovered from Dimapur- 22, Peren- 10 and Kohima- 7.

Kohima, 22nd Oct. (DIPR): A total of ­157 COVID-19 positive cases have been detected today – 30 in Kohima, 119 in Dimapur, 1 in Mon, 3 in Peren, 2 in Mokokchung and 2 in Kiphire. The total number of positive cases in the State now stands at 8,296.

Out of the 8,296 positive cases, the total recoveries so far are 6,399. The active cases are 1,798 and there have been 22 deaths. As per the severity of symptoms, 1,716 active cases are asymptomatic, 60 active cases are mild, 15 active cases are moderate on oxygen, 4 active cases are severe on oxygen and 3 active cases are on ventilator.

Further, out of 8,296 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people are: 3,699 cases of Armed Forces/ Police, 1,625 cases of Returnees, 2,575 cases of Traced Contacts and 397 cases of Frontline Workers.

A total of 58,866 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR and results of 57,747 samples have been received. In addition, a total 32,289 samples have been sent for testing on Truenat and results of 32,228 samples have been received. Through Rapid Antigen Test 3,406 samples have been tested.
