The declining rate of active case from COVID-19 continue for 8 consecutive days in Nagaland to 1,459 on Friday against 1,536 with more recovery number to 2,166 as of August 22, 2020. The state registered 16 fresh case with 92 cured/ discharged and one more death from Dimapur in the last 24 hours. On the other hand, Dimapur district reported no fresh case on Saturday where the highest number of COVID-19 case were detected in the state.

The fresh case detected on Saturday are 12 from Kohima, 2 in Tuensang, 1 each in Wokha and Longleng taking the state tally to 3,634 COVID-19 confirmed case in the state. So far the state claimed 9 live from COVID-19 all from Dimapur district alone.
