Manipur extends curfew till June 30 and COVID-19 Updates

The government of Manipur has extended the curfew imposed in the districts of Imphal West, Imphal East, Bishnupur, Thoubal, Kakching, Churachandpur and Ukhrul with limited activities under COVID-19 guidelines including restrictions on inter district movements in respect of the remaining nine districts of Senapati, Kangpokpi, Kamjong, Tengnoupal, Chandel, Pherzawl, Noney, Tamenglong and Jiribam till June 30.

The decision was made by observing the number of infections of the COVID-19 virus detected and deaths remain high in the state.

Manipur COVID-19 Updates : 12th June 2021

Manipur on Saturday reported 554 fresh case with active case drop down to 8,710 as recovery outnumber the fresh cases detected in the state. However, it said that the fall in the new positive cases in a span of 24 hours may be due to the lesser number of COVID-19 tests. Meanwhile, the state claimed 15 deaths taking the death toll in the state to 595 as of 12th June 2021.
