Tamenglong district task force has intensified the COVID-19 mass testing drive

The district task force has intensified the COVID-19 mass testing drive in Tamenglong with two mobile testing programmes being carried out at Dimthanlong Ward No III and Chingkhiulong Ward No V on Wednesday.

A total of around 243 samples were collected from the two spots although the results of the tests will be available after three days.

Meanwhile, test results of RAT at 5th MR gate and Bhalok junction were zero positive today. However, two positive cases were detected from the Jadonang Park mass testing center. Of 61 curfew violators, two positive cases were detected. The two COVID-19 positive persons have no travelling history, and contact tracing has commenced, sources said.

Another COVID-19 positive case was detected in a person belonging to another district, and with the detection of the three new COVID-19 positive cases, Tamenglong has a current figure of 108 active cases. As per district surveillance reports, as many as 21 positive patients recovered today in Tamenglong.
