Briefing on Covid-19 for Nagaland by Principal Secretary

The total number of positive cases in the State as on today stands at 2,129. The positive persons are receiving medical care at the designated COVID-19 Hospitals and COVID-19 Care Centres. Active surveillance and contact tracing is also in progress to prevent further spreading of the infection.

Out of the 2,129 positive cases, the total active cases are 1,464 and there are 4 deaths. As per the severity of symptoms, 1,462 active cases are asymptomatic, 1 active case is mild and 1 active case is with oxygen.

Till date, a total of 25,738 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR and results of 23,615 samples have been received. Out of the 16,819 samples received at the BSL-3 lab at the Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK), a total of 15,857 samples have been tested and 1,416 samples have tested positive. In addition, a total of 16,932 samples have been sent for testing on Truenat and 510 samples have tested positive which have been sent for confirmation by RT-PCR.

A total of 2,366 persons are presently under Facility Quarantine.
