CMO Dr Chambo first to get Covid shot COVID-19 vaccine in Tamenglong
Tamenglong, Jan. 16: Amidst the feared psychology confusion about the new COVID-19, Chief Medical Officer Tamenglong Dr Chambo Gonmei first to get Covid shot at District hospital Duigailong, Tamenglong.
“COVISHIELD” vaccination was produced by Pune based Serum Institute of India.
“I am okay, I felt good and I don’t have any problem with me, so I appealed to all the people to follow suit, get the vaccine from the health department. It’s totally free of cost, so it is good for you and let us stay safe and healthy”, Dr Chambo said.
Just after chief medical officer was vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccination, District Immunization Officer Dr Sunil Kamei and Chief Medical Officer Noney District was second and third respectively to get vaccination of COVID-19 from Tamenglong and Noney district after the launching programme of COVID-19 vaccination drives here at Tamenglong.
The District health society Tamenglong on Saturday launch COVID-19 vaccination drives at District hospital Duigailong Tamenglong.
The Deputy Commissioner Tamenglong Armstrong Pame attended as chief guest in the launching programme of COVID-19 vaccination drives. Superintendent of police Tamenglong Mohurle Sandip Gopaldas and chief medical Officer Tamenglong Dr Chambo Gonmei attended as guest of honour and president of function respectively.
The launching programme of COVID-19 vaccination drives was successfully held in the presence of World Health Organisation (WHO) Consultant Dr Rajendra Kumar Singh, Sub- Divisional Officer Tamenglong Mahesh Chawdhuri, ADM Tamenglong Kajaigai Gangmei, etc.
In his speech as chief guest, Deputy Commissioner Tamenglong Armstrong Pame congratulated and expressed his thanked to the medical team who fought the pandemic COVID-19 and brought survival to many people.
He said that the much awaited vaccination has come, it will another hectic task for district administration like conducting election where efficiency and governance is proved it and determined.
He also mentioned the stupidity of Zeliangrong community where refused to capture Aadhaar. Likewise same thing is going to happen when COVID-19 vaccination drives started today. He said that some religious leader in Nagaland is issued press released stating not to get COVID-19 vaccination.
Superintendent of police Tamenglong Mohurle Sandip Gopaldas and chief medical Officer Tamenglong Dr Chambo Gonmei also spokes on the occasion.
At least the district health society Tamenglong has identify 1138 beneficiaries for the first phase where atleast 100 beneficiaries will get COVID-19 vaccination.
Before launching launching programme of COVID-19 vaccination drives here in Tamenglong, the participant watched the launching programme from Prime Minister of India and Chief Minister of Manipur through video conferencing.
