Sanuorü Bridge towards Secretariat road open

The much awaited 2-Lane Sanuorü Bridge connecting between Nagaland Civil Secretariat to Kohima town became functional today. Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton officially inaugurated the bridge this morning.

Patton in his speech said the 2 Lane Sanuorü Bridge towards Secretariat road is a life line not only for the officials but for general public. THE Deputy Chief Minister said a promise has been kept which would not have been possible without the collective effort of so many people and support of the citizens. He acknowledged the Kohima Village Council and the land owners for extending their full cooperation and support in timely completion bridge.

He also congratulated the officials of PWD (Road & Bridges) Department and the contractors for taking extra mile to complete bridge in time despite many hardships and difficulties. While assuring government’s support for early completion of the remaining work, Patton further appealed to the department and the concern contractors for completion of the remaining 2 lane bridge before December 2021.
