According to a press release issued by Additional Director (Health) and COVID-19 Common Control Room, 84 fresh case registered including 64 civilians and 20 personnel of CAPF in the last 24 hours where 51 have no travel history outside the State. The 64 civilians were from:
Imphal West (14),
Imphal East (16),
Kangpokpi (2),
Churachandpur (5),
Chandel (3),
Noney (1),
Thoubal (8),
Jiribam (7),
Kakching (1) and
Bishnupur (7).

As of 7th Sept. 2020, there were 1,710 active cases (general public 1184, Central security personnel 526) and 38 deaths due to COVID-19 in the state.
