Manipur COVID-19 Updates : 17 May 2021

With 330 more persons tested positive for the viral infection in Manipur, the state cumulative number of COVID-19 positive cases reached 40,059 as of 17th May 2021. Also recorded 14 more COVID-19 fatalities on Monday with 455 cured/ discharged.

According to COVID-19 Common Control Room press release, Imphal West reported the highest number of new cases with 127 from the general population, followed by Imphal East with 85, and Bishnupur with 30 cases. Twenty eight new cases were reported from Thoubal, 21 form Kakching,eight from Churachandpur, seven each from Ukhrul and Senapati, six from Tamenglong, three each from Chandel and Noney and one each from Kamjong and Jiribam.
