Voting for Bye-Elections for 53 Assembly seats in 10 States in the country held today

Voting for Bye-Elections for 53 Assembly seats in 10 States in the country was held today. The States that went for polling included Nagaland, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Odisha, Haryana, Chhattisgarh and Telangana.

In Gujarat, more than 23 per cent average turnout was recorded in By-Elections of eight Assembly seats till 11 A.M, while in Madhya Pradesh, 56.25 percent polling was recorded till 3 pm. In Uttar Pradesh, out of 7 Assembly seats, six were held by the BJP and one by Samajwadi Party.

In Jharkhand, till 3:00 PM, 56.30 per cent votes recorded in Bermo Assembly constituency and 59.10 per cent votes at Dumka. More than 800 polling stations have been set up in the two constituencies in Odisha.

In Chhattisgarh, 41.46 per cent polling was recorded till 1 PM while in Telangana, 34.33 per cent polling was reported till 11 A.M. in Dubbaka By-Poll.
