Rain forecast in Nagaland along with other North-East States

Nagaland along with other North-East States are likely to continue with thunderstorms and heavy rainfall at isolated places over for next four days, as forecasted by the Weather Department of India. According to the forecast of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) published in their Weather Forecast Bulletin from May 7 to 11, there is a possibility of thunderstorms with lightning on May 8 at isolated locations over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Coastal & South Interior Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.

The report said thunderstorms accompanied by lightning on May 9 over the region, the IMD also informed that heavy rainfall at isolated places is likely over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram-Tripura and Tamil Nadu. On May 10 and 11, heavy rainfall at isolated places likely over coastal Odisha, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam-Meghalaya, Nagaland-Manipur-Mizoram, Tripura and North Coastal, it added. On both days, the national weather forecaster also predicted ‘heat wave conditions in isolated pockets likely over south Punjab, south Haryana, Rajasthan and Vidarbha region of Maharashtra.’ Rainfall with fairly widespread to moderate rainfall is likely to continue over Northeast India, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal-Sikkim & Andaman & Nicobar Islands; scattered rainfall over East India and isolated rainfall over south peninsular India from May 12-14 while dry weather likely over rest parts of the country, it added.
