Haipou Jadonang 89th Death Anniversary called off

The Zeliangrong Union (Assam, Manipur & Nagaland) has notified that the 89th Death Anniversary of Haipou Jadonang which is to be held on August 29, 2020 will not be organised due to State lockdown and COVID-19 pandemic.

The death anniversary of the freedom fighter Haipou Jadonang is observed every year by Haipou Jadonang Park Development & Death Anniversary Committee under the aegis of Zeliangrong Union (Assam, Manipur & Nagaland) at Haipou Jadonang Park memorial, Keishampat. The Zeliangrong Union and Haipou Jadonang Park Development & Death Anniversary Committee has appealed to all clubs, villages and churches to observe the death anniversary at their respective localities by following protocol and guidelines mandated by the State Government and also appealed to light a candle in every household in the evening as mark of respect and honour to the departed freedom fighter.
