Fire on Dzukou valley under control

Kohima, 3rd Jan. 2021: The inferno which has been raging at picturesque Dzukou valley since 29th December is under control. This was informed today by the Divisional Forest Officer, DFO Rajkumar M. He said IAF choppers have dropped 24000litres of water with 12 shuttles.

Indian Air Force, AIF helicopters resumed Bambi Bucket operations today towards dousing the fire at popular tourist destination Dzukuo Valley near Kohima. Four Mi-17 helicopters were deployed today from Dimapur and Rangapahar for the task. Defence sources said Spear Corps is working hand in hand with various central and state government organisations and tackling the problem in a synchronized manner.
