Nagaland Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board informed
As a measure to improve access to comprehensive and quality healthcare for Building and Other Construction Workers (BOCW) beneficiaries under the Nagaland Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (NBOCWWB), the Government has launched an initiative to take on board the BOCW beneficiaries under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY) health insurance scheme w.e.f 1st April 2022, instead of the existing Medical Assistance scheme.
Registered BOCW beneficiaries and their family members will be entitled to cashless benefits on hospitalization for treatment of diseases and medical conditions including Pre-existing health conditions up to Rs. 5,00,000/- (Rupees Five Lakh only) per family per annum on a family floater basis. More than 1700 secondary and tertiary care procedures including pre-and post-hospitalization expenses provided under AB PM-JAY will be available for BOCW beneficiaries. The benefits can be availed at any of the 22000 plus empanelled Government and Private hospitals across the country including 100 hospitals empanelled in Nagaland.
All registered BOCW beneficiaries are requested to obtain the PM-JAY eCard from the following facilities:
- AB PM-JAY Helpdesk of any empanelled hospital, Common Service Centre (CSC), UTIITSL kiosks.
- During BIS Outreach Drive in your locality.
PM-JAY eCard will be issued to every individual beneficiary upon verification and approval by the designated authority. The following KYC documents will be required for the eCard generation of BOCW beneficiaries:
- Valid BOCW ID card and Aadhaar card (as individual ID).
- Ration Card (as Family ID).
NB: If a ration card is not available, then the Village Council signed “list of households” in the prescribed format which will be available with the operators, with complete and proper details/photos/signature and seal.
To avail the free treatment benefits, BOCW beneficiaries are to produce the eCard at the time of registration in the hospital. Further, all empanelled hospitals have been requested to extend necessary services to registered BOCW beneficiaries.
