State capital Kohima resume commercial activities on Saturday. The denizens flocked the various grocery shops to buy essential commodities after lifting two weeklong total lockdown.

Commercial establishments are allowed to remain open on all weekdays Monday-Saturday from 7:00 AM to 4: 00 PM as per the order issued on June 18 last by Kohima deputy commissioner.

Odd-even traffic rule as specified in the order dated July 15 will continue to remain in force, DC stated in an order. Meanwhile, when contacted, Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) administrator Kovi Meyase informed that shortage of essential commodities have not been reported in Kohima.
