Recognition programme of Beisumpuiram Village

Kohima, 28th Nov (DIPR): Beisumpuiram Village under Ahthibung Sub-Division, Peren District Government recognition programme was held on 27th November, 2020 with Deputy Commissioner of Peren, Sentiwapang Aier, NCS as the Special Guest.

The village was established on 17th May, 2006 and was recognised by the Government of Nagaland on 12th October, 2017. Former Chief Minister of Nagaland and Present Leader of Opposition, T.R Zeliang during his tenure of Chief Minister of Nagaland (2014 – 2017) declared the recognition of Beisumpuiram village.

Speaking on the occasion, DC Peren, Sentiwapang Aier lauded the village leaders for their tireless efforts and initiative from the start till the recognition of the village by the Government of Nagaland. He also encouraged the villagers to seek God’s blessings in order to move forward towards development and progress. Aier mentioned that all round development can be attained only by maintaining peace and tranquillity. He also encouraged them not to depend much on Govt. Schemes and Govt. Jobs but to adopt private entrepreneurship and become self-sufficient.

Furthermore, Aier added, for a village to develop, Health Sector and Education is of major importance, therefore he urged the local people in the village to put more focus on Health Sector and Education System in the village.

A memorandum was submitted by Beisumpuiram Village Councils to Deputy Commissioner of Peren.

Monolith opening programme was held where in inauguration of Village Recognition Monolith was done by the DC Peren, Sentiwapang Aier while Stone Opening Prayer was pronounced by Local Pastor, Akwabe and the programme was chaired by Deibambe.

Others who spoke in the programme included Chairman Old Beisumpui, Urangtalakpe, Ex. Chairman Beisumpuiram, Mbailang, SDO (C) Ahthibung, Alemyapang Longchar, Zeme Council President, Dr. Tumda Newme and ZSU (N) President, Aakam Pame.
