‘Nagaland for Green Christmas Pledge’

Kohima, 23rd Nov: According to Air News Kohima, the Sustainable Development Goals Coordination Centre SDGCeC, Planning and Coordination Department have come up with an initiative “Nagaland for Green Christmas’ campaign.

This Campaign focuses on mobilizing all residents of Nagaland to celebrate a sustainable and environment friendly Christmas. The key objective of this campaign is to align Christmas festival celebration to United Nations Sustainable Development Goals dissemination and spark action among general public in the state for making this Christmas and beyond, sustainable.

SDGCC, Planning & Coordination Department have initiated ‘Nagaland for Green Christmas Contest’ from 23 November to 26 December. Residents across the state can apply sharing 1 to 5 photographs and one video of not more than a minute to showcase the best practices of how they are celebrating a Green Christmas. The same may be also shared on social media platforms with NagalandForGreenChristmas.

The applications will be for two categories, 16 years and above and 15 years and below. Besides, ‘Nagaland for Green Christmas Pledge’ form is also active from 23 November – 19 December, so as to encourage general public to take sustainable actions, this Christmas and beyond.
