Lungwiram newly constructed road in Dimapur inaugurated

Lungwiram road constructed under LEDP fund was inaugurated Thursday by Moatoshi Longkumer, MLA Dimapur II A/C.

Delivering short speech, Moatoshi Longkumer lauded the village for undertaking the work with complete transparency. In this he said that “if only in Nagaland such transparency is maintained by other village council, Nagaland will be a change”.

Longkumer also lamented that in the present day, many council of the villages were not transparent in fund utilisation, whereby all developments have been lacking. He, therefore, appealed all to do away with such practices so that it will benefit not only the community but also the society as a whole.

Brief report of the newly constructed road was delivered by Lungwiram Village Council (LVC) secretary N Wizabo, where he mentioned the road levelling work started from September 7 and actual work started from September 15 to 19, 2020 covering length of one thousand thirty running feet and 15 feet width.

The programme was chaired by LVC chairman Ringsanbo Zeliang where he thanked the MLA for introduction of various schemes activities such as empowerment of women with formation of Self Help Group and entrepreneurship for unemployed youth which has benefitted the village.

Earlier, the programme commenced with a ribbon cutting ceremony carried out by Moatoshi Longkumer and followed by inspection of the newly constructed road.
