IAF helicopters and NDRF teams to be de-inducted for completion of mission

Kohima, 11th Jan: IAF Helicopters as well as five NDRF teams deployed at base camp for dousing the fires was decided to de-induct since there were no fresh fire reported in the Dzukou valley for the past few days as reported by both the ground and air teams.

This was informed during the Coordination cum de-briefing meeting on Dzükou forest fire held today under the chairmanship of Home Commissioner Abhijit Sinha.

The meeting also decided that DEF Kohima, Forest department and SAYO Volunteers will further station at the base camp to keep watch and monitor the status for few days.
