First Nagaland Air Conditioned organic market in Dimapur

Dimapur, 8th Dec: Nagaland today inaugurated an organic Air Conditioned market at Nagaland State Agricultural Marketing Board complex in Dimapur at 4th mile, Agri Expo site by Minister of Agriculture & Cooperation, G Kaito Aye.

This AC market and cold storage will run uninterrupted with solar and generator backup which is the first of its kind in a boost to the farming community in the state includes cold storage, grading, collection and packing facilities.

The Minister said the organic market is for the benefits of farmers and the department concerned while speaking on the occasion. He said that we need to increase the production so as to fulfill the needs of the people and become self sufficient without depending on others.

Further, Aye called upon the agri and allied departments to be responsible and work together to promote the farming community. Earlier, the Minister also laid the foundation stone of farmer’s hostel at the same site. Agricultural Production Commissioner, Y Kikheto Sema also spoke on the occasion.
