COVID-19 Mass Awareness Campaign for Peren District was held on 2nd November

Peren, 2nd Nov. (IA Peren): A launching program on COVID-19 Mass Awareness Campaign for Peren District was held on 2nd November, 2020 at Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall, Peren.

The program was organized by TEAM ONE in collaboration with Department of H & FW and NSDMA Peren with an aim for sustainable prevention of COVID-19 community transmission in the district.

DC advised the organiser to tie up with various Government departments to witness the more successful convergence even in coming days. He said that coming up with such Awareness program in the district is a very good opportunity for all the public to stay more aware of COVID-19. During the initial period nobody knew how to react to Covid-19 but with the efforts of Medical department, District Administration, District Task Force and Civil societies, the district has witnessed zero fatalities till today but majority of the public are ignorant of the safety measures to prevent community transmission, he said. He also said that mass awareness campaign is the need of the hour to prevent uncontrolled community transmission in the District. Besides the facilities provided by the state Government TEAM ONE and every individual should give collective effort for the welfare of the people in the district. He also urged the gathering to strictly follow Government SOPs.

Dr. Hedungkiebe, DVBO & DSO highlighted on the basic concept of the campaign. The program was chaired by Director, TEAM ONE, Haisoliabe Hegui while short speech was delivered by President NZPO.
