Closing ceremony of Lamka Futsal Tournament

Lamka, 5 Nov: The closing ceremony of the Lamka Futsal Tournament to be held today with the final match between Desi FC and Dragon Bullet force at Grassroots Turf, Hiangtam Lamka. The tournament was started on 3rd Oct. 2020 organised by Lamka Sporting Club (LSC).

Mr Vungzagin Valte, Minister (TA &Hills, transport, GAD) will grace the tournament as chief guest, Mr.G.Thangkhosuanmung, Chief of Hiangtam Lamka as functional President and Chief host by chief advisor of LSC Mr K Ngulkhanthang.

The Chief guest said he was happy to be there amidst tight schedule due to the coming bye election in the state, where he was in charge of Saitu AC, and said that he had come to meet the leader of the organiser and players who put their to sports.

Further, he said that he was there at the original Lamka Town where the chief had donated land for Hiangtam Lamka public ground for stadium with funding from of 5 crore from NEC. Adding that there is a proposal to made artificial turf but that had to be altered for public which is under process.

The tournament attracted 76 club participations which was supported by some media house, families and business establishments which today witness the closing ceremony which was also attended by many veteran of LSC and sports lovers which was held with floodlight. The winner of the final match will take home a trophy + ₹20000 and a certificate and the runners up will pocket ₹10000.
