14th February 2021 – North-East India COVID-19 updates

No death reported from COVID-19 in the eight states of North-East India in the last 24 hour. However, 31 fresh cases were detected while 59 patients were discharged taking the active case down to 1,996 as of 14th Feb,. 2021.

Over 80 lakh 52 thousand people vaccinated for COVID-19 across the country so far.

The government has said that more than 80 lakh 52 thousand beneficiaries have been vaccinated for COVID-19 till date across the country. Addressing media in New Delhi, Joint Secretary in the Health Ministry, Dr Mandeep Bhandari said the second dose of COVID-19 vaccination started from yesterday for beneficiaries who have completed 28 days after the receipt of the first dose.

He said, seven thousand 668 healthcare workers, have been vaccinated in the second phase so far. Dr Bhandari said, more than 59 lakh healthcare workers and over 21 lakh frontline workers have been vaccinated till date. The Health Ministry said, a total of 34 persons have been hospitalized after being administered the COVID-19 vaccine, so far.
