Nagaland COVID-19 update : 8 December 2020

Nagaland reported 61 fresh cases today, taking the COVID-19 confirmed case to 11, 479 in the state. In a tweet, Health and Family Welfare Minister S. Pangnyu Phom said that 35 cases have been detected from Kohima, 22 from Dimapur, and two each from Wokha and Zunheboto. Meanwhile, 8 patients were discharged with 5 from Kohima and 3 from Peren and one death reported from Kohima.

According to Air News Kohima, out of 61 fresh cases reported today, 36 are traced contacts, 19 are among Armed Forces, and 6 are returnees. Currently, the state has 10, 666 cured/ discharged while 628 are active cases. Altogether 70 deaths have been registered in the State, 60 died due to COVID while 7 had comorbidities and 3 deaths are under investigation. The recovery rate in the State stands at 92.92 percent and 115 persons have migrated to other states.
