Kohima, 20th Oct. (Naga News): “A total of 67 COVID-19 positive cases have been detected today – 13 in Kohima, 38 in Dimapur, 5 in Mon and 11 in Tuensang. The total number of positive cases in the State now stands at 8,020.

Out of the 8,020 positive cases, the total recoveries so far are 6,267. The active cases are 1,657 and there have been 22 deaths. As per the severity of symptoms, 1,576 active cases are asymptomatic, 62 active cases are mild, 13 active cases are moderate on oxygen, 3 active cases are severe on oxygen and 3 active cases are on ventilator.

Further, out of 8,020 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people are: 3,567 cases of Armed Forces/ Police, 1,613 cases of Returnees, 2,448 cases of Traced Contacts and 392 cases of Frontline Workers.

A total of 58,165 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR and results of 56,924 samples have been received. In addition, a total 31,959 samples have been sent for testing on Truenat and results of 31,927 samples have been received. Through Rapid Antigen Test 2,827 samples have been tested.”
